What the policy did

Interim-government re-orientation of Bolivian foreign policy away from the ALBA/UNASUR bloc: recognition of Juan Guaidó as Venezuela's interim president, expulsion of Venezuelan and Cuban officials (including approximately 725 Cuban medical personnel), withdrawal from ALBA, re- establishment of diplomatic ties with Israel, and rapprochement with the United States. All moves were reversed by the incoming Arce government in late 2020 and 2021.
