What the policy did

The Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement on the West Bank and Gaza Strip, signed in Taba and Washington 28 September 1995, partitioned the West Bank into Areas A (PA full control), B (PA civil, Israeli security), and C (Israeli full control), expanded PA institutions, and scheduled Israeli military redeployments. Signed five weeks before Rabin's assassination.
