Progressivity of the personal income tax schedule, including top marginal rates, bracket spread, and targeted credits (EITC-equivalents).
Treasury Laws Amendment (Personal Income Tax Plan) Act 2018 legislated a seven-year three-stage personal income tax package: Stage 1 targeted low- and middle-income tax offset (LMITO); Stage 2 bracket-threshold rises from 1 July 2022; Stage 3 removal of the 37% bracket and flat 30% rate from A$45k to A$200k scheduled for 1 July 2024. Stage 2 and Stage 3 were subsequently accelerated (October 2020 budget) and Stage 3 redesigned by Labor (February 2024) before commencement.
Per invariant 3, reforms are scored by what they did on each channel-separated axis, not by the party that enacted them. This fingerprint is how the policy-match engine finds historical analogues.
Explicit links are curated by the author. Inferred links are hypotheses in the library that test the same axes this policy moved — the framework's answer to "what does the data say about a policy like this?".
Ranked by axis-fingerprint overlap with this policy. Direction match bolded — those are the closest historical analogues. Shape of the match is what drives policy-outcome comparison, not the country or party label.
